The Boston Market Story

Before Boston Market, there was Boston Chicken. Boston Chicken was founded in Newton, Massachusetts and sold rotisserie chicken, steamed vegetables and corn bread. It was a healthy alternative at the time to another chicken joint you may have heard of, Kentucky Fried Chicken. After becoming a chain, the company enjoyed a rapid ascent to the top of the New York Stock Exchange. Boston Chicken was a hit with people all over America.

Although ownership has changed hands several times throughout Boston Market’s history, the restaurant’s core philosophy remains the same: great-tasting food you can feel good about. This is food that you can be happy serving to your children. A carefully crafted menu, a focus on nutrition and combined with fresh, quality ingredients, Boston Market offers a wholesome, delicious alternative to comparable fast-food or casual restaurants. Despite introductions of new items ham, turkey and meat loaf, the star of the menu remains the original rotisserie chicken. Marinated with just a hint of garlic to complement the natural chicken flavor profile and roasted perfectly, this delicious chicken has fed hundreds of thousands of families over many decades.
